How to properly enable Bonjour Gateway for Ruckus Cloud APs for casting?

We have multiple different VLANs but we are trying to dedicate one VLAN for casting. I have already created the Firewall policies/routes and traffic passes between the subnets and I have enabled a Bonjour Gateway on the Ruckus AP but still unable to cast (Currently testing for Chromecast but need it working for Airplay as well). Casting works just fine if they're on the same VLAN obviously.

This is what my Bonjour Gateway looks like:

I have toggled "Directed Multicast" to try to assist but it didn't work. This is a setting on the AP itself

From VLAN is where the ChromeCast is connected and To VLAN is where your clients are connected. Remove one of the rules configured in the policy.

Also you can switch off the direct multicast and see if the clients can see chromecast.

Other than that, your settings looks fine. I suggest you look at wired (switches/routers/firewall) if multicast traffic is being dropped on the wired path.

If you confirm that wired side is fine, I recommend opening a case so an Engineer can look at the AP's logs and do a Packet Capture to see where the traffic is being dropped.

Hello,

I suspect some network device is blocking the communication.

Chromecast services discovery is done over mDNS, make sure firewall or gateway is not dropping the traffic. You can run a capture as well on the firewall to see if traffic is observed from source to destination VLANs.
