Assistance Needed: Trouble Connecting Sub4 to Ruckus Router

Wavezamani

Hi Team,

I hope you’re doing well. I’m reaching out because I’m having some trouble connecting my Sub4 device to my Ruckus router, and I was hoping to get some help or guidance.

I’ve tried the usual troubleshooting steps—such as restarting both the router and the device, checking the network settings, and ensuring the Wi-Fi signal is strong—but unfortunately, the Sub4 still isn’t connecting as expected.

If you have any advice or suggestions, I’d really appreciate your support. Please let me know if you need any specific details to better understand the issue.

Thank you in advance for your time and help!

Warm regards,

Hi Wavezamani

Have you tried disabling directed multicast on the AP ? If you can access the AP CLI you should be able to do it via below command :

set qos ethx directed multicast disable
set qos wlanx directed multicast disable

In above x would refer to the interface in use.

In case you can't access your AP CLI you can open up a case with us via https://support.ruckuswireless.com/contact-us

Best Regards

Vineet

Hi Vineet, thank you for your bin helping me solve this, my family and I are grateful. Unfortunately, I do not have an access to the API CLI, as this is a router that had been installed in the apartment before we even moved in. I’ll follow the link as advised. Thank you again and I hope I can sort this out today, I really wish to keep the speakers but I’m running out of excuses as to why we should keep them
