I know this post is a bit old, but I finally upgraded the switch stack and wanted to share the outcome. So the flash still looked as it did per the output in an earlier post. Instead of trying to reload to code 8080f, I reloaded the switch as is with 8030r. When the switch stack reloaded it did boot to 8030r, the flash looked normal, but it had an older config from when I upgraded to 8030r a year or so ago.
I modified the config as needed, tftp 8080f to the primary flash, reloaded/booted to it. No issues upon booting to 8080f. I then tftp 8090f to secondary flash, reloaded/booted to it. No issues upon booting to 8090f.
