Managed ICX 7150 Stack Switches after a reboot change UFI to non-UFI ?

Hello pack ! I am having trouble in 2 stack of switches that after a reboot by unknown reason somehow "managed" to change their ufi to non-ufi firmware even if they keeped the same version.

So the situation is that group of switches of a specific building, which were already managed by the smartzone in version 6,were used by us to test the stability of last firmware versions for the ICX 7150, last week we decide to upgrade the firmware of all of them to 8095d. After the procedure all of them was showing online and with the correct version of SPS08095d.

But, looking today, 2 days before 2 stack got reboot and for some reason, they did not come back to the SZ, looking the cli of them, when applying the show version they are showing that warning message and that the firmware were non-ufi. So, what is the reason ? It is a bug ? I need to do some so the situation don't happening again ?

Hello,

I believe this is a display bug that is already reported. I would recommend opening a support case (see below) to ensure it is tracked. You may need to re-copy the code and reload to clear the non-ufi message. 8095 is UFI only, so there should be no way to actually run non-UFI.

EDIT: You can likely just reload to correct this

Hi Ben, thanks for the reply, so, I should reboot the switch or to re-apply by the CLI the firmware again ?

It should not be a only "display" problem, as this stacks a are not able to connect tom sz again.

Hey there,

The switch is actually running the UFI version despite the output seen. SZ is likely doing some kind of invalid check. I chatted with the engineer who submitted the bug for this and you should just be able to reload and correct the issue. It should be patched in the future, but those details have not been decided quite yet.

Hey Ben, reloading/rebooting the switches stacks did not make the switches coming online to the smartzone and show version still keeping saying that the switch is non-UFI.
