LAG is Blocked on ICX 7250

Hello!

My switches : ICX 7250-48p in STACK Core

and a switch ICX 7250-48p with SPR firmware on the floor.

Yesterday upgraded the firmware to SPR0808080f from SPR08070b

And after rebooting, the floor switch lost connection to the network.

I inspected the ports on the core and found that the LAG is not reflecting between the core and the child switch.

Found that as well as state ports are in blocking.

When connecting to the switch via serial port, I found out that it is loaded with SPS firmware, I rebooted it with SPR firmware but it didn't help the situation.

Check your port configs - if the ports are blocking it’s because the switch detected a spanning-tree loop.

Note: disabling spanning-tree is not a solution to this problem. 🥴

Hello 

Please review the following; these are some reasons why the port might appear as blocked:

 
  • Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) may block ports to prevent loops.
  • Misconfigured LAG settings
  • LACP mismatches (active/passive settings) 
  • Link speed or duplex mismatches between ports.
  • Port security or ACL policies.
  • VLAN mismatches can also trigger port blocking.
