ICX10.0.10 (8200) Local authentication failover when radius authentication is configured

Is there a way to activate local authencation on the switch, even when radius is specified. When it's in that order "aaa authentication login default radius local"  it will never check local users until radius is completely unavailable and according to docs
https://docs.commscope.com/bundle/fastiron-10010-commandref/page/GUID-E345B830-6EFF-4A96-9832-1B1351...

""You can specify a primary authentication method and two backup authentication methods. If the configured primary authentication fails due to an error, the device tries the backup authentication methods in the order they appear in the list.""

So, there is no way to log into a switch locally if you have configured it for radius first?

On 8.0 you could do this, it would take time to timeout the radius authentication portion but you were able to log into the switch.

Thank you for reaching us.

  • Could you please let us know the firmware version that is currently running in the 8200 switches series ?
  • Could you please help us with which 8.0 version was used to compare the radius results with ?

Also please feel free to log a case with us using the below link.
