ICX Questions

Hi,
I have few questions about ICX
1. I want to do rollback if I didn't save manually
in Aruba using these command alias, save, job

2. I want to save config without credentials. This useful when you restore config without overwriting existing users
in Aruba using "no include-credentials"

Hello,

We have options to back up the config and restore it from SmartZone as needed, SZ can keep seven backups of each switch.

You can restore an individual switch to its previous configuration by clicking Config Restore. A message is displayed stating the restore operation is initiated and that the system must be rebooted for the configuration changes to take effect.

For switches, you can click Config Diff to view differences in configuration details, click Config View to see the configuration details from the Switch Config View screen and click Config Download to download the copy of the configuration file.

Additional info below.

Thanks

Maybe I am not clear
CASE
1. the scenario is like this.
you connect remote switch using ssh, let say you miss-configure subnet mask.
causing you disconnect and can't connect back.
in this case even SZ can't connect
you can find rollback in juniper as well
YES, from GUI you have to reboot, in Aruba same thing
but in Aruba using CLI, you can restore config without reboot
that what I want

2. what I mean is backup config without credentials
imagine in current config has 10 users account but your backup config has only 5 users.
when you restore, those 5 users will overwrite current 10 users

UPDATE1:
2. I miss understood Aruba "no include-credentials". It actually just hides user password in running-config
so please disregard QUESTION #2

If your changing any config on the switch [say at port, vlan, protocol etc..] the SZ config restore will still work, Looks like your requirement is different.

Thanks

Answer:  If we did not write memory then we can reload and it will revert back to the old configuration if there was a previous write memory done.

Hope this helps
