Hi had a question regarding a stack of 4 ICX switches i manage. Is it normal for stacks 3 and 4 to be in a reserve state with a blank comment? Stack 1 and 2 have mac addresses one is local and remote and both are ready…

Hi Brocadester
Thank you for reaching us
Reserve state means the member was provisioned on the unit in advance. Once the unit is connected with correct configuration it would come up and show as remote. but if the unit is part of stack you would see role as member , mac details would be displayed , state for member and standby would be remote and comment would be ready. Similar to below example.
ID Type Role Mac Address Pri State Comment
1 S ICX7750-48XGF active 609c.9f7f.9400 128 local Ready
2 S ICX7750-20QXG standby 748e.f8f9.6300 128 remote Ready
3 S ICX7750-20QXG member cc4e.2438.7280 0 remote Ready
I hope this helps
Thanks
