ICX-7450 limited to 08.0.80f - can't upgrade!

I've tried countless times to get my ICX-7450 past 08.0.80f without success

Chat GPT is trying to tell me my A0 ASIC is limiting things, the BCM56548_A0

but googling doesn't confirm this

I get kernel panics for all UFI images, and even non UFI past 08.0.80f

any tricks?  I need some features from 08.0.90d and up, specifically the 40G breakout capability (chat GPT tells me this is the earliest revision supporting)
