Can Ruckus ICX 7150-C12P act as a router and do NAT?

I have a new Ruckus ICX 7150-C12P switch. I’m wondering if I can connect it directly to my ISP’s modem and let it act both as a DHCP server for my devices inside my home and also do the routing/NAT from internal network to the single external IP it gets from the cable modem? In other words, can I get away without a dedicated router device?

Hi Giri, Unfortunately the 7150 is not able to perform NAT functions so cannot replace your home router. Simon

So the suggested configuration is Cable Modem -> Router -> Ruckus 7150 ICX-C12P -> devices (incl. Ruckus R510s)?

My current wifi router is a bit out of date and it's slowing down the download speed by a factor of 2 (when hard-wired to it vs. hard-wired to the cable modem). I'm assuming I need a basic router (not with wifi) since I also have two Ruckus R510's I plan to connect to the ICX switch.

Yes, that config, is correct.

I am in the EXACT same situation and I was wondering what basic routers will you suggest?

I have fiber optic based Gbps internet connection.

Thanks,
