I can provide the core dump, if required. I do not have a support contract, so I cannot open a support case.

Hi GreensTheorem

Thank you for reaching us.

Thank you for pointing out the issue you encountered with the switch.

I tried this in a different model switch 7850-48F running 8095m  version. And looks like you are right it is crashing. Below is the output from Lab switch.

What is I noticed is the switch crashes and comes up fine but when you execute the command the switch will reboot.

I also checked on version 10.0.10b and command "username super nopassword" is removed. So from 9010 and above it is mandatory to set a password.

Could you help me with below details :

  • What about if you try to set a password ? Is there a issue noticed ? and when you try executing other commands on the switch , is there a problem ?
  • Is the switch you notice issue in stack or standalone ?

Thanks

Hi @Chandini

> What about if you try to set a password ? Is there a issue noticed ?

Nope, it's just for "nopassword" - I was trying to temporarily set no password as I was doing some lab work on the switch and was tired of having to log in

> and when you try executing other commands on the switch , is there a problem ?

Nope, all fine

> Is the switch you notice issue in stack or standalone ?

Standalone

Cool, thanks!

Do you need any more info? But given that you can reproduce it on an ICX7850, I guess you should have everything you need
