Hello,

Purchased an 8200 24P, I am a bit confused, both primary and secondary are RDR, how do I flash an RDS onto the primary as like in the 7150's?

Thank you

Switching image was deprecated with 10.0 and each platform will only use one image starting with 10.0. Switching features are still available in the routing image. Hope this helps!

So in 8.0.95 layer 2 I could still assign the switch an IP using >ip address 172.16.x.x/24 and then assign >ip default-gateway 172.16.x.1/24.  Those don't seem to be available commands.  Is there something I need to turn on before deploying layer 2 commands or is there another way to go about this?

You will need to put an IP address on a VE, a physical interface or the mgmt port itself. You should use 'ip route 0.0.0.0/0 <GW-address>' to define a default route.
