My table (Dell) does not connect to the nearest Access point. It connects to one that is outside of that room. And it on occasion disconnects from the A/P. The unit that it should connect to has at times has up to 30 clients connected.
the A/Ps are a R710 and R720. Is there a way to ensure that the table will connect to the nearest A/P?
thanks for your assistance.

Hi @KDSM,
Please confirm what RUCKUS Solution you are using.
- Confirm the controller type
- Controller and AP software version
Forcing clients to connect to nearest AP is not 100% possible, but there are few configurations in WLAN advanced setting which may help.
- Configure BSS min rate from default to 12
- Configure Join RSSI (this is limited to specific RUCKUS controller solution).
Connecting to closest AP is a client decision, this is why a proper radio site survey is always recommended along with AP installation on best possible locations for good coverage and stable connection.
