Dear sir,
I need your assistance on the below issue.
Reported issue :
Some Public IP on which Ruckus Controller IP tried to connect and shared the data. I have collected these logs from the firewall.
1) 185.247.224.14
2) 185.220.101.7
3) 185.220.101.21
4) 185.220.101.14
5) 185.56.80.65
6) 23.129.64.233
Please help me to understand whether they are related to the Ruckus' side.
The Controller details are as below:
Model Number: SmartZone 100
Controller Ver- 3.6.2.0.222

vSZ is connecting to many sites, including license server, statistic collection, etc. I don't expect you can get detailed data about this from Ruckus, as well as this changes periodically. But if you prefer to not share any data, you can safely close Internet access for SZ-100, and just upload license files manually, when needed. I always recommend close Internet access for all infrastructure devices (controllers, APs, switches, routers, printers, storages, etc) to customers with any sensitive data, to avoid potential issues. I have seen an installation where misconfigured by admin vSZ controller resulted in APs sending a lot of requests to different Internet sites, which I found to be related to Ruckus cloud services. Just close access and be safe!
