Hi Dear.

I have tested vspot.

Could vspot work without broadcast ssid?

Must work with broadcast ssid?

Regards.

Hi!
I don't think so that this would be necessary, broadcasting a given SSID (aka network name) is independent from SPoT point of view, this is tx direction, if you made proper calibration broadcasting or not the given network (SSID) is irrelevant.
"An SSID is a network name, not — I repeat, not — a password. A wireless network has an SSID to distinguish it from other wireless networks in the vicinity. The SSID was never designed to be hidden, and therefore won’t provide your network with any kind of protection if you try to hide it."

So, non-broadcasting it only means that the beacon frames' name (SSID) field is technically empty.
