Hi all,

I have a r710 on latest firmware 200.13.6.1.319 and I only getting 70Mbps on 5ghz and my internet speed is 1gig. Any ideas? I have hard wire tested from the cable modem to the ethernet plugged into the AP. Thanks!

Hi @Ed-E
The client is having a bad signal quality -68 and MCS rate is 2. I see that the client is tested by placing right next to it, can you tell us how the AP is placed? Is it mounted on the sealing or place on the bench?

Are you seeing the same RSSI with APs on other rooms as well?

Additional info -

The wireless test was conducted right next to the ap and other rooms.

Hi @sanjay_kumar,

Thanks for the response. The AP is placed on top of the fire place mantel, so 5 feet off the floor with rounded side face up. Here are some more tests.

Macbook pro 2019 - 7 feet away from ap. I changed the AP to be veritcal with the rounded side facing the interior of the home and the results are better.

rssi -42

noise -92

tx rate 975Mbps

Macs 7

nss3

Is there another ap placement you would recommended?

On the ceiling, that's how they're designed.
