Unable to set wlan8 channel to 165

Hi there,

I just setup my Zoneflex 7982 and noticed some repeating errors in the log file.

5ghz Radio:
Wireless mode: 5ghz
Channel: SmartSelect
Channel Width: 40mhz
Country Code: New Zealand

Running software version: 9.6.0.0.267

I rebooted the AP, prior to the reboot it was doing it for channel 116, after the reboot its doing it for channel 165.

Any insight would be appreciated

Just to close off, I think we've opened a bug on this. Your workaround is to blacklist the channels that are impacted.

fyi, i've also had this happen on a 7982 with the same firmware release, configured with all defaults (except that i enabled the 2.4 and 5ghz radios and gave them SSIDs)...

has anyone else seen anything like the following in their syslog output on a 7982 running 9.6.1.0.15? mine's running in standalone mode and has smartselect enabled, but i'm unsure if either of these factors matters or not...

FYI, channel 165 is not blacklisted, so i'm a bit unsure whether this is just a superfluous informational message, or not...

this error message will be produced every 30 seconds or so, and never seems to resolve itself...

I too have Software Version: 9.6.1.0.15
I've been pulling my hair out with these errors and it seems I'm not alone here. I just installed two 7982's and clients can't maintain a connection. The log is flooded with the following:

@Daniel - are you also using 40Mhz channels? Try switching to 20Mhz and see if that changes the behavior.

The latter log messages you are seeing are normal ChannelFly messages.
