Hi everyone,
I have some APs which are in areas where during the night no one is present. Does it harm the hardware if I switch them off every night (powering off the PoE port) and powering them on again in the morning or would it be better to let them just run?
Thanks!

Hello da_anton,
No, the nightly power off won't damage the APs (hardware) in the long run.

Hello Da_anton,
I am not sure if we have an option to schedule a power setting on Ubiquity switch ports. However, we should have an option to disable and enable the port.
You can schedule a WLAN on/off time as a workaround, so that on the specific time the WLANs will stop broadcasting.
Let me know your opinion about this.

Hi Vignesh,
the Ubiquity Controller has a REST service I can use to set the PoE state of a port. That already works.
But that was not the original intention of my question. The question is: will a nightly power off damage the AP hardware in the long run?
