Ruckus R710 with unleashed but showing no AP

Hello,

I have recently purchased an R710 on Ebay ( I have about 4 of these now and 2 T710's) I've had no issues in the past configuring my AP's but this one seems to be causing me quite a bit of trouble.

I had to connect via ethernet and SSH into the R710 to be able to upgrade the firmware to unleashed.  Now that it h as been updated there are no radios active as there isn't an AP assigned to the unleashed network.

As up see the unleashed config wasn't able to setup an AP and activate the radios.

Also, the broad casting SSID is still confgure.me-xxxxx and when connected to the configure ssid it does not assign an IP address so there is no way to actually configure through it.  Which is why I had so much trouble getting into this AP at first.

Hi Ryan,

Since the AP is working as a separate unleashed network and it does not need a controller to be managed.

Looking at the "get wlanlist" output none of the SSID's configured seems to be getting updated.

Can you please open a case with support team so that we can check what is the issue with the Ap.

Hi Ryan,

I wanted to check if WLANs are showing or not, no WLAN in CLI means radio could be faulty.

Could you try re-flashing it again with Unleashed image.

It that is also not working then I will suggest opening a case with support for further troubleshooting.

Hi Ryan,

This AP is acting in the controller mode. I believe you didn't go through the setup wizard yet.

May I know what do you see when you access the device from the browser using its IP address? If the GUI is not accessible, you can enable https from the CLI using the below commands and check.

ruckus>enable
ruckus#ap-mode
ruckus(ap-mode)#set https enable

Hi Ryan,

Did you do the setup when the AP is connected to the network?
Can you try setting it up by connecting directly to a laptop and once the setup is done, connect it to the network?
Make sure to give a different subnet IP address if you wish to create a different unleashed setup!
