Ruckus R500 Downgrade 104.0.0.0 -> 9.8.2.0

Hello,

I've been given a site that's just had 2 new R500's installed with firmware 104.0.0.0.1347, they are using a ZoneDirector 1112 on 9.8.2.0. The ZD has tried to downgrade them when auto previsioning them with no luck, so I have stopped the auto prevision and removed them from the ZD and tried to manually upload the same version the other R500's are using 9.8.2.0 after doing a factory reset but this isnt working ether. 

Any ideas?

Hi Robbie,

If those are new R500s, then there could be flash compatibility issue with older ZD version.

Please upgrade the ZD to 9.10.x version and AP should connect without any issues.

If you were not able to connect R500 with same firmware version, than you most probably are out of licenses. ZD1112 has 12 licenses installed, if license was not upgraded. How many APs are already managed? What is the error message? Have you tries to provision AP manually (set director IP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx from ssh) - you can do it even remotely.
