M510 LTE CLI

Firstly, the M510 seems to be a great product. However, the LTE Status M510 information via WebUI is insufficient as it contains no information (apart from connection information). My questins is on how I can retrieve more information about the current LTE status (RSSI etc etc) via CLI?

I could not find any documentation

Hi Timothy,

Set the APN as 'broadband' and check.

set lte-sim-apn : set lte-sim-apn {primary|secondary} {APN name}

Sagar

Hi Sagar,

Is there some documentation about how to configure these AP's LTE setup? There does not seem to be any GUI way to do this or even get status. I have loaded the standalone, Unleashed and vSZ firmware on the AP, but can't seem to find a way to manage the LTE setup and I don't seen any CLI documentation on the website.

After performing the command, it now shows the following:

rkscli: get lte-statistics

Hi Timothy,

Above output concludes that there is active LTE connection now. Could you confirm whether the clients are able to access the Internet?

If the AP is running in Unleashed code in factory default then you would get an option to configure LTE settings from initial setup page.

I will check for useful documentation, CLI guide and provide the same.

Sagar

Sagar,

Thanks, I was able to get it to connect and provide internet over the LTE connection.

I still have a hard time trying to diagnose speed issues. I ran a speed test wired to the LAN port using the LTE and only got 7Mbs down and 4Mbs up with a connection that says it was excellent.

Current Channel : 5110

Access Technology : FDD LTE

Band : LTE BAND 12

Mode : LTE

RSSI : -67 dBm (excellent)

Roaming Status : registered, home network

Country Name : USA

Uplink Bandwidth : 10MHz

Downlink Bandwidth : 10MHz

RSRP : -100

RSRQ : -14

SINR : 9

My goal is to add this AP to a client site that currently has limited Internet connectivity via Satellite internet and have this LTE connection as a back up. It will connect to my vSZ.

I don't see any documentation about setting the M510 LTE settings via the vSZ or to which ports should be connected.

I am assuming I need to connect the WAN (PoE) port to the PoE switch that is connected to the local firewall/Internet gateway.

Then if it the AP senses no internet on the WAN port because the satellite is down, it would provide Internet over the LTE connection, correct?

Thanks
Tim
