Does Ruckus recommend placing the r550 and r500 APs in the same location?

Does Ruckus recommend placing the r550 and r500 APs in the same location? because R550 have 802.11ax but r500/r510 APs not have that feature.

If a user is connected by 802.11ax at the r550 access point, if he roams, is there a disconnection to the r510 /r500 access point?If ruckus do you recommend placing r500/r510/r550 in the same environment

Hello @Ire_sh69

R550 APs are indeed 11AX capable. However, they are backward compatible as well, they should allow legacy client devices to connect through. In fact WiFi-6 capable clients could seamlessly roam between WiFi-5 capable Access Points, clients only need to switch the data rates between APs. On the other hand, for better end user experience we strongly recommend to perform active site survey and position the APs accordingly.

Regards,

Parik
