There is a customer who is using 2 ZD-1200s in a smart-redundancy configuration.

Hello.

As the title says, this is a post about a customer who is using 2 ZD-1200s in a smart-redundancy configuration.

The customer informed me today that there was a problem with the zd-1200 active device they were using. Fortunately, there is no service disruption as the standby device has become active mode.

After visiting the customer and checking the device, it was determined that the device in question requires RMA, so the RMA procedure is in progress, and we would like to install another device to be used temporarily instead of the device subject to RMA that was retrieved.

The two ZDs currently being used by the customer will be called A and B, and the device that will replace A will be called A.

Currently, B is operating in an active state, and we would like to use the backup file of device A on device A that will replace A.

Are there any precautions to take when configuring smart-redundancy?

The work procedure that I have in mind is as follows. 1. Upload A's backup file to device A and apply A's config
2. Visit the customer and suspend (or disable) Smart-redundancy of device B, then install device A on the customer's network.
3. Activate Smart-redundancy on device A and set it to Active mode.
4. Activate Smart-redundancy on device B and set it to standby mode

Are there any issues with the work procedure or instructions on how to work in the above situation?

If so, please let me know

Thank you
