Does a ZD factory reset remove licenses?

I see answers in the forum that contradict each other. Some people say a factory reset does NOT nuke your licenses on the ZD1200, some say it does.
If it does, and I'm not able to dig up the original file for the key, what is the process to retrieve it again, and what kind of lead time would I need to get the new licenses?

Hi,
Factory resetting the ZD does remove the licenses. If you think the ZD serial still has valid AP licenses, please report a ticket with Ruckus Support along with the ZD serial number, they should be able to share the license file.
If you would like to purchase the new licenses, get in touch with your local Resellers/Distributers.

I think I actually found something over at support.ruckuswireless.com - I have a matching S/N, can you tell me if this means "6 APs total" for this ZD or "5 AP base license PLUS 6 addtional APs"?

Yes that's right 5 AP base license +6 additional AP licenses.
