802.1x auth using LDAP/AD

Hi guys,

We are using 802.1x + Radius IAS on all of our WLANs to authenticate users, there is any way to use 802.1x and LDAP/AD?

On WLAN config when you select 802.1X only the Radius servers options appears.

I saw a topic (http://community.arubanetworks.com/t5...) that with Aruba it's posible.. any chance to do that with Ruckus or what is the consequences of using EAP-GTC?

Thanks!

Are you talking about stand-alone APs or controller based?

Any updates with this? I am also unable to configure LDAP with 802.11x. The documentation does not make it clear if this is or isn't possible. We are using 7363 APs with ZoneDirector v9.7

802.1x requires a RADIUS server in front of your AD/LDAP backend.

You can use AD/LDAP directly to authenticate WebAuth, Guest Access, or users going to http:///activate to setup DPSK.

Hi Michael.
Thanks. Do you have a step-by-step guide on how to do it?
"802.1x requires a RADIUS server in front of your AD/LDAP backend.

Here is what I want on DPSK:
1. When the user tries to access the internet, the user needs to enter the username and password credentials. ( Instead of using the the local authentication server of ZD, I will be using an external LDAP server ).
2. Once the username and password are entered, the user will be prompted to download the prove.exe file.

Thanks.
