I have 2x R500 Unleashed on 200.6 and noticed the master AP keeps making very frequent connection requests to applimg.com servers on port 80. They appear to be the CDN servers for Apple and the IP it connects to varies (likely due to a load balanced server farm).
Now I haven't sniffed this traffic to see what it's sending or requesting but it does seem strange. I do have Apple clients but these requests are directly from the AP itself. What could it be?
The connection requests are quite frequent as I can see in my router and accompanied by DNS queries for the domain name I presume. Any ideas?
Thanks

Confirmed. Out of my 7 access points on the Ruckus R710, only Master is accessing extraneous sites. Appeal occurs once per minute.

I will try to block accesses on the firewall and will see what changes in the work of access points.

Perhaps the source of requests here?

That's what I thought as well but disabling that option has no effect. Must be related to the mobile app somehow though...

Unfortunately, I do not know how this function is implemented in the firmware. Therefore, it will be blocked on the firewall until someone from the Ruckus staff explains this phenomenon.
