I have been broadcating an SSID for a long time. At first it was protected via WPA2, then some letters that have been capitals are now small. Now I went back to the same SSID but with no password authentication. I have noticed some access points broadcasting these 3 SSIDs in the same time.
What would be the solution for them to erase old SSIDs from their configuration?
Ok, then you can see what SSID's each AP is broadcasting, on the statuspage for each AP.There is a list with SSID & BSSID's for each radio. A quick way to see what radios is broadcasting the SSID's, is with a tool like NetSpot (in discovery mode).
If you are on a Mac, and can connect to the SSID, you can Option-Click on the AirPort menu item and get details about the AP and connection of your wifi.
