Wireless Access Points are randomly rebooting overnight multiple times

Description: As of about 1 week now, our Access Points for our Ruckus Unleashed environment will power off randomly, all at the same time, overnight. They will come back up after about 5 minutes, will be up for maybe 10-20 minutes and then reboot again. The switch they connect into is up the entire time and there are no power issues there. I have went through and updated the system to the latest firmware (on 7/19/2023)  and rebooted everything and it still occurred. The strange thing is it seems to happen between like 12 am and 5 am. This is an environment installed/configured initially by Lennar when we purchased the townhouse. I went to one of the access points, after it booted back up and downloaded the logs for it (i can attach them once i am back home).. but looking in the forums, it appears there is a common thread of people experiencing this same type of issue.

I live in a Lennar built home and I am facing the exact same issue. Access Points (R510) are rebooting every 15-25 minutes.

  1. The switch (ICX 7150-C12P) SYST light changes from GREEN to AMBER which then seems to trigger the power cycling of the Access Points. 
  2. Then, the SYST light changes back to GREEN and APs come back online after couple of minutes. 
  3. Then after 15-20 minutes, this cycle repeats.

Thank you for the information you shared.

As per the case description, I could understand that your RUCKUS setup is not working, and Access Points do not have power.

Could you please let us know the answers to the below queries to assist you better?

1. If it worked before, was there any power outage before you started facing this issue?

2. On your switch while it's plugged into the outlet, do you see any lights on? (Amber or green) Please let us know which lights are on. (Please refer to the below picture and share a picture of the same, showing the light status and the FULL Switch panel cable connections to the Switch ports)

3. Is your Internet Connection from the Internet Service Provider (ISP) stable and working? (You could check this by connecting to your local router Wi-Fi or from an ethernet cable from Router to a laptop/PC).

4. May I know how many Access Points are connected to the Switch? Could you please let me know the light status on the Access Points? Any of these lights are on (Please refer to the below picture and share a picture of the same)

5. Have you Upgraded your Unleashed system recently? If yes, please help us with the Upgraded version.

Please help us with pictures of your ICX-7150-C12P Switch showing the status of the lights and cable connections to the Switch ports. Also, light the status of Access Points.

Thank you Imran, to address the questions I am able to, while not infront of the device are as follows:

1. There was a power outage about 2 weeks ago that forced me to reboot the switch in order to get remote AP to boot/connect.

2. I am not in front of the device, so i cannot supply you with lights.

3. Internet connection is stable and strong.. when the issue occurs and the AP black out, my devices connect to the ATT Modem and I have full flowing internet connectivity.

4. I have 3 access points connected into the Switch

5. 7/19/2023 I upgraded the firmware to the latest version released. Once i did that and everything rebooted, it stayed up for about 15 minutes and then everything blacked out again.
