Whole System Failing — HELP!

New Contributor II

I’ve gone through Putty and successfully reprogrammed the Switch, but I cannot access the Ruckus Unleashed site to manage the Switch and APs. Right now I’m exclusively running off of my standard router and modem and constantly losing connection. It is unbelievable to me that there is no support over the phone for this. Can someone please help me resolve so I don’t lose my job over your failing products!

Hi @Finnejo

Hope you are doing well !

1-Did you fix the know routing code issue from putty ?

2-Are the Access Points powering up , please let me know the color lights ( any fleshing light or red ) ?

3-Please make sure that the cables are connected correctly please check the following guide

The lights on the APs are green with one being yellow. The cables are connected properly. And I went through the step by step instructions for routing fix within Putty and the process completed.

Hi @Finnejo

Hope you are doing well!

Basically, the yellow light means that there are not clients connected on that specific Radio (5G or 2.4G) that depends where is the yellow light on.

Note: Can be green light on 5G and yellow light on 2.4 that means that there is a device connected on 5G radio and not on 2.4 Radio

This does not mean that the Access Point is broken or damaged.

Here is the meaning of each light on the Wireless Access Point

Yellows light 2.4G: Radio is up, no clients are connected to the 2.4 GHz radio.
Yellows light 5G: Radio is up, no clients are connected to the 5 GHz radio.

So, if there is a device (iPhone) that is using the 5G radio, the light on the Access Point will be turning green on the 5G radio indicating that there is a client/device using that radio (5G)

A 2.4 GHz connection travels farther at lower speeds, while 5 GHz frequencies provide faster speeds at shorter range. What depends on whether to use 5g or 2.4G will depend on the end device (such as phones/pc/ring door/Mac devices/iPhone) They choose whether to use 2.4g or 5g auto. It will also depend on the network (Wi-Fi / SSID / WLAN ) configuration if it is 2.4 or 5G only.
