The SYST LED is solid amber, and the PWR LED is solid green

  • System Status: The SYST LED is solid amber, and the PWR LED is solid green.

  • PoE Failure: The switch is failing to provide Power over Ethernet (PoE) to the connected Access Points (APs), leaving them completely unpowered.

  • Connectivity: There is no Link/Activity on any of the data ports (1-12) or the C1 uplink port when a known working gateway (Xfinity XB7/XB8) is connected.

Dear Ruckus Support Team,

Thank you for your quick response and for providing guidance on the information you need. I’m Jose Gabriel Contreras a Lennar homeowner, and this device is installed at my primary residence , which I purchased from Lennar. I also work as a professional Electrical Engineering Manager for other company.

I am reaching out to report a critical hardware failure on my ICX 7150-C12P switch (Serial Number: FEK3845Q2E5). The unit now displays a solid amber SYST LED and has completely lost PoE power and data connectivity. After carrying out a thorough diagnostic using the Serial Console (CLI), I have determined that the internal NAND flash memory is physically defective and cannot be recovered via software.

Here are the main technical findings, and I have attached both PuTTY logs and photos of the status LEDs as evidence:
- Multiple physical bad blocks were detected using the `nand bad` command at addresses 0b400000 and 0b600000.
- Attempts to boot from either the primary or secondary partition consistently result in ECC read errors and a NAND read failure (-22).
- The system is unable to load the operating system and returns a "Bad FIT kernel image format" error, which points to physical memory corruption.

Given that the device is in a non-functional state due to hardware-level memory defects, I kindly request a formal RMA for a replacement unit under the manufacturer's warranty.

Please let me know if you need any further details from my side. I look forward to your prompt guidance on the next steps for the replacement process.

Best regards,
