Rukus ICX-7150-12p isn't working after factory reset

Babha
New Contributor

I have recently moved to a Lennar home. It came with ICX-7150-12p and R510 AP's. The AP's didn't have any power. Unfortunately; the ICX-7150 isn't working even after performing the factory reset. I followed the instructions mentioned in the following post, and I have shared the logs. Any thoughts or recommendations would be helpful.

Hi @Babha

Hope you are doing well !

You don't need to follow the Software recovery guide (this is done when the switch won't boot or the images got corrupted)

In your case it may be that the PoE ( power over  ethernet )  can be disable / corrupted / damaged .

Could you send us these commands:

Enable
copy flash flash secondary
show inline power
show inline power detail

It would be great if you could also preform an upgrade the Software to rule out any problems with it.

if after upgrading to version 8095h or 8095g the PoE still doesn't work we can replace the unit without problem

Thank you for the instructions. I can't see to log into Rukus Switch Web UI. I get the following error upon login.

This object on the Brocade Communications Systems server is protected.

Hi @Babha

That message appears when you try to log in the switch and the password did not work.

web.PNG

1-Please try to make sure to use   OR https://

Example : http://10.0.0.29  OR https://10.0.0.29

2-Also maybe is missing to setup the password for web management so access via CLI and run the following commands:

 Device>ena
Device#configure terminal
device(config)#web-management http
device(config)# aaa authentication web-server default local

3-Open a new web browser and try to log in

Best Regards
