Ruckus and AP keep turning off

ebalele

Hi.

I've had to reset my AP access points multiple times. Is there a way to fix it? I unplug the ruckus and the lights come back on but go away after a few minutes, I'm not sure why they keep going out.

Can you provide directions if I have a macbook? When i tried to download the tftp app it would not open on my computer

Hi @ebalele

Greetings!

Thank you for your response and the update.

I recommend using a Windows laptop for this process would be much easier.

If you prefer to use a laptop, please proceed with the USB flash drive method (Option 2) as outlined in the RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge Base self-help article shared in my previous post.

Please let me know how it goes, and feel free to reach out if you need any assistance during the process.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Hi I seemed to have an issue after step 3.

Hi  @ebalele

Greetings!
Thank you for the response and the update.

I see your RUCKUS Switch is now upgraded to a intermediate 08080f Version. Please enter the below commands and try upgrading your Switch using upgrade tool that works from 08080f version.

Note: Hit Enter to accept each command

enable

copy flash flash secondary

boot system flash secondary yes

To facilitate this transition, we have recently introduced an upgrade tool tailored to ensure a seamless process. Utilizing this tool is straightforward: users simply need to input the IP Address, Username, and password associated with the Switch into the software interface.

For your convenience, please find the necessary resources below:

1. Download the Upgrade software for Windows: Link: Upgrade Software for Windows

2. Download the Upgrade software for MAC: Link: Upgrade Software for MAC

3. Access the Upgrade Software User Manual: Link: Upgrade Tool User Guide for Lennar SmartHome users

Note: If you don’t the username and password please execute the below commands to set reset them.

Use the following commands to either modify the existing password or create a new username and password:

enable

configure terminal

device(config)# username super password pass

In this example, the username is ‘super’ and the password is ‘pass’.

To ensure proper authentication, execute the following commands:

device(config)# crypto key generate rsa

device(config)# aaa authentication login default local

device(config)# aaa authentication web-server default local

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you again for your patience.
