Ruckus R510 Slowness

Ruckus R510 Slowness - My topology Comcast Xfinity X1 router with 1Gbps service, measuring 850Mbps as the output. This goes to a Rucker switch C12P, and the output there is 825Mbps. However, coming out of the 2 APs, even with AP to AP speedtest, its only 400Mbps. At remote location in my house, i am only getting 40Mbps. Troubleshooting with Lennar Home network specialist, everything pointed back to the 2 APs, Ruckus R510 Unleashed. What was the last known working FW version that supported full-duplex speedtest with results near max speed ~800Mbps+?

JJ,
That’s the problem 200.8.x will not support the r500 or any 802.11ac wave 1AP. Ruckus under Arris under Commscope decided to abandon 802.11ac wave 1 APs.

Yeah I was afraid of that, looks like firmware support may be another victim of the buyout. At least you'd think that it will be less buggy since they run on fewer devices. For me the 200.6 still works fine.

Just checked the EOL notice again and they support ZD up to the next version. ZD and unleashed are usually released in parallel. It also makes sense since the software support end date is April that 200.8 will be released by then and they're breaking their promise if they drop it.

I am in a strange situation with 2 x R310 and 1 x R320... stupid I will not be able to upgrade to 200.8.x even when adding new Wave 2 devices... I have to replace the R310 which are working pretty fine for where they are placed...

here's the online help for unleashed 200.8

So if you look at the list of supported APs .. R310 is not there.  No wave 1 AP.

I think after being bought so many times the new company in the higher aboves decided to can support for any wave 1 ap's... what's also funny is the R310 is not in the EOL archive yet.. even through I recall the announcement.

I just wish they would end Wave 1 software support  after they start shipping Wifi 6 ap's in mass midrange and low end range. The lame thing is that Ruckus has only 1 Wifi 6 AP and that's just the flagship R750 which doesn't have support til 200.8.x.. Also it won't be til mid summer next year til Wifi 6 for the R550 and R650 to come out... or even end of next year..  R510 was announced March of 2016 and R610 was announced Nov 2016.
