RUCKUS PURPOSE

MATT
New Contributor

My Ruckus ICX 7150 will not reboot after power outage. amber light indicates it is stuck in boot stage and potentially has a corrupt config file.

I don't understand exactly what the Ruckus does anyway.  All of my items seem to run on my regular Frontier internet fine and the only items not working are the AP boosters in the ceiling.   Can't I just remove the Ruckus which has been problematic anyway?

Hello Jayavidhya,

We have two access points in the ceiling represented by the two(2) blue wires in the picture.  They are not live at this and have no lights.  They are identical to your image.IMG_2717.JPGIMG_2718.JPG

time as the Ruckus is not up and running.

LED lights are:  Green power and Amber system. Those are the only lights lit.

The only wired connections are:

ORANGE goes to the Frontier internet modem

Black was a Lutron device for lights but I have that disconnected

BLUE are the AP's in the ceiling which are currently not working.

Hi @MATT

Greetings of the day,

Based on your description your switch has one green and one yellow light, it means that the switch is stuck in boot mode.

1-Please try to disconnect from the Power outlet the ICX- 7150 and reconnect it.

2-Please try to press the reset button using a paper click or a small stick

  1.  Remove power from the switch.
  2. Press and hold the Reset button while applying power to the switch.
  3. After all the system LEDs flash amber, release the Reset button.

Good morning.   I tried the reboot but it does not appear to be working.

I unplugged the device and held the reset button while plugging the unit in.

All the lights flashed amber and I released the reset button.

The device is still stuck with green power and amber SYS light.
