RUCKUS ICX 7150-C12P Unresponsive – Stuck in POST/Boot Loop (Blinking LEDs)

Hello RUCKUS Team,

I am a Lennar homeowner troubleshooting my ICX 7150-C12P switch, which has become completely unresponsive.

Current Status & Symptoms:
  • LED Status: The PWR and SYST lights are continuously blinking, and the device is not passing network traffic.
  • Troubleshooting Attempted: I have attempted a physical factory wipe/pinhole reset more than 20 times by holding down the front-panel Reset button for over 10 seconds during power cycles. While the status LEDs flash amber during the pinhole attempt, the switch continuously reverts back to the blinking boot loop state afterward.
  • Diagnosis: Because the hardware reset isn't clearing the fault after dozens of attempts, it appears the primary software image is corrupted or failing POST. The switch is stuck in a permanent boot loop and requires a clean firmware re-flash via the Boot Monitor (ICX7150-BOOT>)
Could a forum moderator please assist me with the necessary steps to force a recovery of the switch firmware, or let me know if this unit qualifies for an RMA replacement due to hardware failure?

Thank you!

Hi  Aprlcas65645,

Thank you for reporting this issue, based on the issue description I recommend trying a software recovery, here the steps

Fixing RUCKUS Switch with an Amber/Orange light on "SYST" & Green light on "PWR" & NO lights on APs

Let me know how it goes and if you have any questions.

Hi Maria,

Thank you for responding and providing a link for additional help but I do not have a windows laptop computer to do the software reset. Could I get a the switch replaced instead?

Thank you for your reply. I will contact you directly to start the replacement process.

Greetings!!!

Thank you for sharing the requested information.

Based on the troubleshooting performed, your ICX-7150-C12P Switch is not responding properly, and A hard reset did not help

As a result, this Switch unit appears to be defective and needs to be replaced through the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process.
