Hi @cxkang

Greetings!!!

Thank you for reaching out to the RUCKUS Lennar Home Community.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve the issues you are experiencing with your RUCKUS setup.

Based on the information provided, it appears that you are encountering issues with the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch stuck in the boot mode.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and are committed to assisting you promptly.

Please try the steps below.

1. As the physical hard reset is not working, could you please try to perform the Software Recovery on the Switch using a Windows laptop? (refer to the mentioned RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge Base self-help article)

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Lennar-Support-Knowledge/Fixing-RUCKUS-Switch-with-an...

2. If you do not have Windows laptop, please try obtaining console access on a Mac, please refer to the following video:

Video on Console Access for Mac

Kindly disregard the drivers demonstrated in the video. Instead, please download and install the drivers listed below before accessing the switch via the Mac terminal:

Mac iOS System Solution:

I don't have a Windows lapto and I have tried the Mac steps. The ethernet doesn't read through the converter and this is the error I get on my terminal.

ICX7150-Boot>ping 108.208.121.52
bcm_xgs_gmac-0 Waiting for PHY auto negotiation to complete......... TIMEOUT !
Auto-neg error, defaulting to 10BT/HD
Change GMAC speed to 10MB
Using bcm_xgs_gmac-0 device

ARP Retry count exceeded; starting again
ping failed; host 108.208.121.52 is not alive
ICX7150-Boot>

Hi @cxkang

Greetings!

Thank you for your response and the update.

Since you’re seeing the ‘boot> prompt, please proceed with the commands outlined in the Software Recovery article and verify if the switch returns to its normal state with the green SYST LED.

Please let me know how it goes.

Thank you once again for your patience and understanding.

Best regards,

It doesn't work since my laptop won't accept ethernet connections. As you see it TIMEOUT and ping failed; host 108.208.121.52 is not alive
