New Router now Disconnected Message

After a power outage our internet provider had to install a new router. We are now getting a DISCONNECTED warning in our SWITCH tab in Unleashed Dashboard. When trying to update with the IP address we get an error that "Unleashed system only supports ICX firmware version 08.0.90 or later."

I have read the options in other community help sites on here but most seem to require a fair knowledge of programing as well as a windows system to add the files to the Ruckuss Switch ICX-7150-C12P.

I only have Mac iOS systems. Is there a way to update the ICX Firmware without having a windows computer or extensive knowledge? I have the IP address of the Ruckus router but not sure how to upload the firmware update.

I was able to update the firmware on the Access Points fairly easily, but that does not help with the main firmware update.

As per the case description, I could understand that after installing a new Router you are getting Switch Disconnected status on the Unleashed dashboard. 

Please follow the below steps and help us with the queries,

1. To check this issue, we must identify the ‘current’ IP address assigned by your local router to the switch ICX-7150-C12P

I will leave you a guide on how to perform an IP scanner on your local network to identify the switch IP address very easily. 

How to find my Ruckus “Devices IP address” using free applications:

2. Once we identify the IP address of the switch proceed to access remotely to the device “Command Line” 

How to remotely access to 'ICX 7150-C12P' or 'access points' "Network devices":

If you can access the Command line should look like this:

ICX7150-C12 Router> OR

ICX7150-C12 Switch>

Please enter the below commands once you log in to CLI and share the output.

Note: Hit Enter to accept each command 


show version

show flash
