ICX-7150 -C12P will not reset after power outage, system light continually flashes green. I have done the hard reset a dozen times and it returns to a flashing green light on the system LED. I have done the software recovery several times and it still ends up going back to a flashing green light. below is the message I get after resetting.

Hi @Spencer

Thank you for sharing the requested information.

Based on the troubleshooting done, your ICX-7150-C12P Switch is unable to provide a console access and there is no IP Address getting assigned to it by the Router to access CLI. Even you tried to hard reset it. However, the failure persists. This Switch unit Should be RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) in simple words replacing it.

Feel free to contact us via chat, comment you already have a post, copy the link from the post (URL), and paste it into the chat to start the unit replacement.

Please follow the steps as shown in the below example:

As shown in the below picture, copy the link and share it via chat from the link provided below:

So, like I said I changed the ISP connection and no change. As I stated before I have also done the software recovery step as well as trying the system upgrades. I have tried the 08090k, and then tried the 08080f so I could upgrade to the 08095 by using console access, all attempts still result in the System LED flashing green and no connection or POE. The start of my post has the details of what the system is saying. Please advise

Hi @Spencer

Greetings!!!

Thank you for the response and the update.

Please unplug both the Software recovery cables from the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch and follow the below process.

Please follow the below steps and help us with the queries:

1. To check this issue, we must identify the ‘current’ IP address assigned by your local router to the switch ICX-7150-C12P

I will leave you a guide on how to perform an IP scanner on your local network to identify the switch IP address very easily.

How to find my Ruckus “Devices IP address” using free applications:

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Support-for-Lennar-Homes/How-to-find-my-Ruckus-Device...

2. Once we identify the IP address of the switch proceed to access remotely to the device “Command Line”

How to remotely access to 'ICX 7150-C12P' or 'access points' "Network devices":

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Support-for-Lennar-Homes/How-to-remotely-access-to-IC...

If you can access the Command line should look like this:

ICX7150-C12 Router> OR

ICX7150-C12 Switch>

Please enter the below commands once you log in to CLI and share the output.

Note: Hit Enter to accept each command

enable

show version

show flash

Please share the output of the above commands or share the screenshots if stuck at any step or error (if any) and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Hello, I had already tried to locate the IP address following this process before and I did not see it, I am assuming it is not putting out a WiFi signal. However, I tried again as instructed since you told me that I had the cable from my service provider connected to the wrong port ( I am still not sure if you are right about that as I had it in the same port it had been connected to prior to the issue i am having now when everything was working correctly, but I changed it to the port you instructed me to anyway) I still do not see an IP address for my Ruckus. See below

Hi @Spencer

Greetings!!!

Thank you for the response and the update.

If you are unable to get the IP address of the Switch, please try getting console access to the Switch and help me with the command outputs I shared previously.

Here is a guide on how to access to the Switch via console (cable access between your PC to the ICX 7150-C12P) in this case we need a USB type C to USB standard OR Console cable Rj45 to USB (Any one cable- please refer the guide)

How to console in the ICX-7150-C12P

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Support-for-Lennar-Homes/How-to-console-in-the-ICX-71...

Once you are logged in to the ICX-7150-C12P please follow and perform the commands and help with the outputs.

Please let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

I had already done all of this FYI by looking through the forum before I created my own support thread. However I just tried again.

When I console in it does not bring me to either of these Command lines

ICX7150-C12 Router> OR

ICX7150-C12 Switch>

mine is blank, see below

Spencer_0-1704217391597.png

However, if I hit the reset button with a paperclip and enter "b" when it gets to the boot monitor step I can get the boot command. This is where I attempted to perform the software recovery using instruction found in the forum which resulted in the dialogue that I had shown you in my very first post above after I completed all of the recovery steps.
