Hello @shivrajdalvi ,

Greetings!!!

Thank you for contacting RUCKUS Lennar Home Community.

I hope you are doing well!!!

Thank you for the information you shared.

As per the case description, I understand that you are looking to turn on the SFP+ port on your RUCKUS Switch.

The RUCKUS switch installed in Lennar homes does not require a setting to “turn on” the SFP or SFP+ ports. These ports are enabled automatically when a compatible SFP/SFP+ module is installed.

Please note that while some RUCKUS switches include SFP+ (10Gb-capable) ports in the hardware, 10Gb (SFP+) operation requires a separate software license. Without this license, the port may operate at a lower speed or remain inactive for 10Gb connections.

Please let us know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Regards,

Pinky Rajendran

I’m also a Lennar homeowner with a Ruckus switch and AP setup, and I ran into similar issues after moving in.

In most Lennar installations, the Ruckus switch and access points are wired but not fully configured for your ISP. The switch itself doesn’t handle DHCP, so your main router needs to be assigning IP addresses. Once that’s working properly, the APs should come online and appear in the Ruckus Unleashed interface.

If you don’t have the admin credentials from the builder or previous owner, doing a factory reset on the APs usually solves that. After resetting, you can adopt them in Unleashed and create your own SSIDs and security settings. It’s also worth checking the switch firmware, since outdated firmware can sometimes cause discovery or stability issues.

Since Lennar-specific Ruckus support is now mostly community-driven, these threads are often the best source of real-world fixes. I’ve found them especially helpful when troubleshooting more advanced networking scenarios, including remote access or traffic routing setups similar to those used with north America proxies.

Hope this helps — if you can share your switch model, firmware version, or LED status, others here can help narrow it down further.
