Converting Unleashed to Ruckus Cloud (Bulk)

Hi everyone, we have around 80 Unleashed APs and we're planning to purchase Ruckus Cloud. Is there a direct way we can convert these to be operational on cloud? Or will we have to convert each AP to standalone mode?

@rajivw

Can you try doing a factory reset on of the AP and see if it gets the IP from the DHCP server.

If yes, then it is something to do with the Static IP or VLAN config (most probably).

Hi @syamantak_omer & @sanjay_kumar

When we connect a brand new AP or a FR-ed AP, it joins the cluster, wtihout doing any changes from the WLC-end. These APs previously received IPs from the same DHCP pool.

As I remember, these APs went down when we changed the VLAN Untag ID on the AP port connecting to Switch to 40 (LAN PoE-In Port of the AP). The PoE Switch ports are currently untagged to 40. Should these be tagged from Switch end to 40?

Hi Rajiv,

Yes, if APs were earlier running with tagged 40 VLAN, you have to revert the settings so that APs can communicate with network.
