Switch Issues

Hi,

One of my AP's on my switch (port2) is currently only showing speed on 100 mbps instead of the 1.0 Gbps speed that it is suppose to be.  Is there a way to change the speed on switch port?  See attached screen shot from ruckus unleased admin login.  Also port 1 which does not have an ethernet cable connected to it show a warning status.  I tried resetting the port with no luck.

You likely have a bad cable. Try a different one and see if the 1gbps speed comes back.

It sounds like the issue with your AP on port 2 showing only 100 Mbps could be due to a few factors. To ensure the port runs at 1 Gbps, you should verify the following:

  1. Check Cable and Connection: I recommend trying a different Ethernet cable, to see if the 1 Gbps speed is restored.
  2. Verify Port Speed Settings: By default, ICX switches should automatically negotiate the speed with connected devices. However, you can manually force the port to 1 Gbps with the following command:

interface ethernet 1/1/2

 speed-duplex 1000 full

This command sets the port speed to 1 Gbps and ensures full duplex operation. Make sure to replace 1/1/2 with the correct interface if needed.

  1. Check for Errors: Run the command show interfaces ethernet 1/1/2 to check for any errors

For the warning status on port 1, it's likely showing "Link Down" because there's no cable plugged in. This is expected and should resolve once a device is connected.
