Recently I'm having problems saving changes to an ICX 7450-24 stand alone switch (firmware  08.0.90T213):
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#write memory

There is no startup config file, unable to save legacy config
flash_fcreat: Failed to create file startup-config.txt
Error - failed to create startup-config.

Flash to Flash Error.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Trying to display the startup-config fails 'cause is empty.

#show configuration
INFO: empty config data in the primary area, try to read from backup

Very Easy to resolve:  either acquire a Support Contract (which Cisco would also require you to do) or acquire a Ruckus Cloud Management license - both of which will provide you with Support Entitlement.  Very few companies provide you with unlimited Support Entitlement on hardware items these days.

As to why anyone would go "for these" over Cisco....you obviously know nothing about Ruckus switches or their superlative support.  Learn a few things before you make comments on a forum.

Thanks for your insight. We ripped them out and went with Cisco who provides support within the 1st year and hardware for critical failures throughout the life cycle.

The support may be great. The command set not so much. The UI support told us to use, even worse.
