ICX 7150-24 does not support Openflow in Switch mode

Hi Every one,
I have ICX 7150-24, and my firmware is SPS08080d.bin as primary. The Openflow is not supported. When a run SPR08080d.bin as secondary, then it supports OpenFlow commands. I am wondering is it possible to support OpenFlow in switch mode on ICX7150-24? If yes, please let me know which firmware I should install?
Looking forward to receiving your positive comments
Thanks!
Nadir

Hi Nadir

For OpenFlow support you need to be running the routing image but you do not need a L3 license, OF is included in the base feature set.

You can get access to the ICX documentation here https://docs.arris.com/bundle?labels=31&labels=37&labels=36&labels=35&labels=34&labels=34&labels=33&...

Hi Nadir,
I would recommend that you not use 8080x code.
8080x code will not have any defect fixes.
I would recommend that you use 8070g or if you plan to manage your ICX with Smart Zones then go with 8090e routed code.
Also please be aware if you go with 8090 codes there is a special process to upgrade to it, first go to 8080e and then to 8090e..

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Hi Hashim,
Thanks for the response. Sure, I will try it next week because this week I am working on a research proposal.
Thanks!

Most Welcome Nadir,

Which code would you try?  8070g or 8090e?
If 8090e then you first upgrade to 8080e non ufi then go to 8090e UFI.
Thanks
Hashim
