ICX 08.0.30t System Started bug

netwizz
Contributor III
NTP is syncing properly, and the time is correct, but 08.0.30t does not calculate the system started time properly.  This adversely reports the wrong information to tools like Solar Winds, too.

This did not work.  They simply marked the case resolved; since, I indicated in the ticket I rolled back to SA.  They need to document this as a bug.

They completely missed that the point wasn't that I needed support but rather they need to get it over to the programmers who work on the 08.0.30 builds reporting it as a bug.

Any other ideas?

Show ntp status shows time an hour off...   the clock and logs show the correct time.

The boot time is a bit odd - I don't see a similar behavior for the boot time with a 7150 running 8.0.80 code... and NTP seems to show the same behavior.

Good Afternoon:

Yeah.  Both display the time correctly.  What you mention is normal now that we are in Daylight Savings Time.  I actually had an NTP error on my NTP server (not the switch); hence, it did not set the DST flag even though it did change the time!

The bug still stands though. for the System Startup Time.

08.0.80 builds are not afflicted.

In your configuration, you have:

clock summer-time

It automatically sets the display and reporting time forward 1 hour, so this is normal behavior.  It does on mine too now.
