Hi,
we have an issue with 1/3/2 and 1/3/4 SFP ports of the a Ruckus ICX 7150 switch. These SFP ports are used with 3x SFP adapters for fiber cables. According to our tests (we tried to replace and swap SFP adapters, fibers and the switch at the other end) the issue is related to these two specific ports. If we move the SFP adapters and fibers from 1/3/1 and 1/3/3 ports into 1/3/2 and 1/3/4 ports they stop to work and vice versa. The fault seems to be related to those specific ports. We also tried to connect only one SFP adapter to 1/3/2 (in case it is an issue related to the licenses) but nothing. We tried to disable and re-enable these two ports, reboot the switch and other troubleshoot operation but with no success. The switch worked properly since its installation almost 2 years ago. This is the "show version" output of this switch:

Please let us know if it is a hardware fault or something different. This would be the third Ruckus switch with hardware faults on this installation... This switch is still installed by our customer.
Thanks.

Hi,
any news for this issue?
This is an update: we installed the new switch but we have still issues with the SFP ports but slightly different. Now ports that are not working are 1/3/1 and 1/3/3 (with the same exact fibers mapping!). With a fiber from anohter switch now the ports leds goes on and green (with the old switch they stay off) but no traffic or communication with the switch of the other end (no ping). The led on the other end switch goes orange with CRC and InErrors but if we move that fiber to another switch or to ports (1/3/2 or 1/3/4) of the same switch it works (so no faults with fibers or SFP adapters)! All the switches have the same firmware 09.0.10eT211. This is very annoying. All was working a few weeks ago. No configuration changes in the mean time. We restore the previous backups. Please help!

Hi Andrea,
Apologies for the delay in getting back to you.
Regarding the issue you mentioned with the new switch, could you please confirm whether you were using a Ruckus-branded transceiver for the testing, or if the setup is still using a third-party transceiver?
If third-party transceivers are in use, we recommend testing with a Ruckus-certified transceiver, as we cannot guarantee proper functionality with non‑Ruckus optics. We have observed similar issues in the past when third-party transceivers were used.
Kindly test the setup using a Ruckus transceiver and let us know the outcome.
