how do i add a replacement ap to connect to my master ap

hello i am having a real hard time trying to set up my second ap box i originally had two ap boxes the upstairs is the master and the downstairs is the one i replaces but it is not working i mean the power light is on solid but the ctrl light is blinking on it how do i get it to work and show up on my mobile app because it on shows the master on the app
