Update firmware on R710

I have two (for now) R710 AP's that do not have a current version of firmware on them.  And when I connect them to the network to so that VSZ (5.2.2.0.317) can update to the current firmware I get the following error message.

" firmware version [3.2.1.0.642] is USI. USI to FSI upgrade is not allowed due to difference in Image formats."

Is there a way to correct this issue?   Can I flash the AP from the USB port on the back of the access point?

thanks.

Nope. You need to install over the network.

The instructions here are good - just substitute in your Solo 104.0 firmware download whenever they mention Unleashed firmware.

You need to install an intermediate signed image (ISI).

Factory reset the AP then install a Solo 104 firmware (default user/pass is super/sp-admin).

The 104 firmware will join the 5.2 vSZ.

(You might also need to put a new cert on the AP).

Thanks for procedure:  When you do the factory reset on the AP does it install the firmware from an attached USB drive?
