Ruckus 7372 not turning on with properly rated AC adapter?

I have a Ruckus 7372. Can't seem to get it to turn on using any AC adapters I have. The label on the back says 12V-1A... Well, 12V-1A doesn't work, 12V-1.6A doesn't work... does it need something beefier? I have a 12V-20A bench supply that it does work with. Just confused since the label on it says 1A and it definitely seems to need more.

Getting very close to point where I'd call tech support and ask them for tshooting help and then a replacement unit.

Except since this is an EOL unit you are unlikely to be warranted on this thing.

Yep my thoughts exactly. Oh well, unfortunately it's looking like it's going into the trash bin.

I spent $39 at Fry's for a 4 x 100mb PoE switch, with 5th port uplink.
I'd test the PoE too, and try TS anyway if you bought it from us/our VAR
(not second hand).  We provide a lifetime limited warranty for ZoneFlex
products (but testing with non-Ruckus power adapters, especially over
1amp, would void it...).  A 7372 under support would probably get an
R500 replacement unit.

This was an electronics recycling bin find, so no worries on warranty. Just wondered if anyone else had the same issue more or less.
