Fixed MAC Address for SSID

Hi,

i have a ZD with some R500.
I have some wired Clients connected to a Wireless Bridge. Wireless Bridge is connected to one R500.
Everyhting works fine.

There is just one issue.
Within the GUI of my Wireless Bridge i have to set the SSID and the SSID's MAC Address.
If i restart my R500 the SSID sometimes get another MAC and my Bridge is not able to connect anymore.

Is there a way to fix the MAC my R500 is using for a specific SSID?

Thanks!

Kind Regards
Marco

Not a problem for roaming, actually, it is meant to assist roaming. It would be configured under the WLAN configuration. Should be a field right under the SSID field. You would need to be using one of the latest code version, I believe 9.9 and newer support this. Not 100% sure on that as I normally work with the SmartZone software. I would have to verify it.

Assist Roaming? Why is it not enabled / used by default?

Anyway:
Unfortunatelly there is no such option within my ZoneDirector GUI.

It's a bit more complicated than that, let's put it that way.  It is a somewhat recent thing and not as easy as it sounds.

Aside from this, I do not know of a way to statically assign the BSSID to an SSID.  I would recommend upgrading the code on the ZD to a newer version in order to use this feature.

ZD Version is up-to-date (9.12.1 build 148).
Maybe there is a CLI command which is know by somebody.
Maybe someone from Ruckus have any idea?
Thanks.
