Hello,
Does anyone know what kind of ethernet adapter/cable I need to POE power my E510?
From the little bit of tech docs I've found that the connector on the device is a M12 Connector (X-coded, 8 position, Shielded, Female)
But I can't find any cables that will fit.
pinging @DarrelRhodes since you helped with a different obscure E510 question.

Hi Robert,
Thanks for looping me in.
As you've identified; you need a standard CAT5e (or better) cable, with an 8-core, X-Coded, M12 connector.
These aren't exactly custom-made, but they are certainly specialist 'industrial grade'!
Here's some online examples (you must verify these are applicable):
Farnell: https://uk.farnell.com/metz-connect/142m2x15020/sensor-cable-m12-plug-8pos-rj45/dp/2442829?
RS: https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/sensor-actuator-cables/2080551
Amazon (multiple lengths available): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Industrial-Machinery-Ethernet-Shielded-Waterproof/dp/B08DF5GZ87/
Please also use the E510 AP module Quick Start Guide as an important reference: https://docs.commscope.com/bundle/E510-QSG-800-71577-001-RevD/resource/E510-QSG-800-71577-001-RevD.p...
I hope that helps,
Darrel.

Hi Darrel - the information is really helpful. Do you have any similar information with respect to sourcing generic control cables to connect E510 access points to their external antenna?

Hi KGBC4008,
The antenna cable part number is available in the AP datasheet. Please refer to the 'Optional Accessories' section in the datasheet at the following link: https://webresources.ruckuswireless.com/datasheets/e510/ds-ruckus-e510.html
Additionally, you may find useful setup information in the Quick Setup Guide: https://webresources.ruckuswireless.com/datasheets/e510/ds-ruckus-e510.html

Thanks for the super fast reply - i have been unable to trace a source of the ruckus cables perhaps because the product is eol. It does say on the documentation that is is possible to use 3rd party cables so i was wondering if the pinouts are based on a standard which can be sourced from the generic market. Appreciate any guidance you can provide. Many thanks!
